Permanent Residence

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the agency responsible for immigration matters in Canada administers Express Entry system, an online system, to meet Canada’s Economic Immigration goal.

How does EE system work?

Potential immigrants to Canada create a profile on IRCC portal and furnish their information such as Age, Education, Work Experience, English/French Language Proficiency etc. to assess their eligibility using Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). A CRS score is assigned to each candidate. Eligible aspirants are then placed in a pool of candidates. IRCC conducts draws on a regular basis to send Invitation to Apply (ITA) to the selected candidates. The candidates that received ITA will need to submit their complete application along with applicable fees to obtain Permanent Residency.

Visit IRCC website for more details.

To be eligible to receive an ITA, candidates must be eligible under one of the following categories:

  1. Federal Skilled Worker
  2. Federal Skilled Trades
  3. Canadian Experience Class
